Who is a KDChi?
A KDChi knows what she wants and has the dedication to make it happen. A KDChi has the leadership to influence all those around her for a specific cause. A KDChi has intelligence, not only scholastically, but ethically to do what is right when no one is looking. A KDChi has confidence to be sure of herself and not belittle others. A KDChi has grace when entering a room and illuminating it and those around her. A KDChi has the heart with passion to make all the difference. Heart to show love for others and serve her communities selflessly.

Requirements for joining:- Non first-term freshman.- Minimum GPA of 2.75 to join.- Cannot be a current member of a non-academic, non-professional or non-honorary sorority.- Full-time student. You are eligible to apply with less than full-time hours with permission/extenuating circumstances.- Interests must attend two Open Rush events to be extended an invitation to proceed with Closed Rush events.- Graduate school students and/or graduated professionals can rush KDChi through the Dallas Alumnae Chapter and be involved in Beta Zeta.Kappa Delta Chi recruits at the beginning of every Fall and Spring Semester by holding recruitment events for interested womxn. KDChi History
In the Spring of 1987, Cynthia Garza, Nellie Flores, Irene Montoya, and Melissa Montoya recognized the need at Texas Tech University for an organization that fostered an environment for the empowerment, professional development, and progression of womxn of all kinds, all while serving the community. Due to the hard work and effort of the founders and the Charter members, Kappa Delta Chi was recognized as an official organization at Texas Tech University on April 6, 1987. Proud to be the first of its kind, KDChi has over 8,000 sxsters, with 100+ collegiate and alumnae chapters nationwide and growing.
Chapter History
In the Spring of 2012, eleven ambitious womxn gathered to discuss the possibility of establishing a new organization on campus. They wanted to establish a sxsterhood that would last a lifetime, thus they were determined to bring Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. to UTD.
During the Fall of 2012, they established the official interest group of KDChi with the name of Women of Integrity, Service, and Honesty” (W.I.S.H). In November of 2012, they presented to the Multicultural Greek Council and were admitted into the council.
In the Spring of 2013, the eleven interested ladies of Kappa Delta Chi were able to finally start their New Member Process to establish the prestigious sorority. All their effort paid off in April 26, 2013 when they became the “First Emeralds” Charter Class and officially became sxsters.
After continuous effort and determination, the Colony of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. at the University of Texas at Dallas was granted Chapter Status on June 20th of 2014, officially recognized as the Beta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta Chi.

The purpose of Kappa Delta Chi is to promote the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership of its members. An organization dedicated to service for institutions of higher education and underrepresented communities with special emphasis on the Hispanic/Latino population; a servitude based on love and friendship.Mission Statement
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. is a Latina-founded, 501 c 7, national sorority that fosters professional development, academics and lifelong learning, and higher education degree attainment; an organization dedicated to community service to institutions of higher education and the community.
KDChi is a member of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), the premier umbrella organization for Latina/o Greek-letter organizations.
